Blane Allen , LMT, NCTMB. Owner and Massage Practitioner
Blane Allen has been a Massage Practitioner since 1993 and is Licensed and Nationally Certified. Blane Allen's experience spans more than a decade in Asian Bodywork techniques, with additional training in therapeutic massage including deep tissue, integrated with Western styles to assist his clients in overcoming the root of their discomfort. Blane is Certified in Medical Massage and specializes in sciatica, lower back and hip pain and sports injuries. In addition, he offers Four Hands massage with Monique Illona.
Blane studied Traditional Chinese Health and Vitality Techniques with Mr. Kwan Sai Hung from 1987 to 1997. He studied Tuina, a Chinese massage technique, with Dr. Jin-Huai Wang and Dr. James Wu of the Beijing University, and in 1997 graduated as an Integrated Eclectic Shiatsu Practitioner from Nippon Shiatsu Daigaku under Toshiko Phipps. Blane has been practicing as an Asian Bodyworker and a member of AOBTA since 1993.
Monique Illona , LMT, NCTMB, MA. Owner and Massage Practitioner
Monique Illona has been a Massage Practitioner since 1991 and is Licensed and Nationally Certified. Her personalized blend of deep pressure point work, Swedish and neuromuscular massage, therapeutic touch, polarity and cranial sacral work facilitates the body's return to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and harmony. Monique specializes in whiplash, headaches and tmj, is Certified in pre and post-natal massage and considers Relaxation Massage an art. Monique offers Four Hands massage with Blane Allen.
Educated in England, Israel and America, Monique worked as a therapist after receiving her Masters of Arts in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University in 1989. She has taught at a number of massage schools in New England, served in the Israeli Defense Forces, was a senior instructor at Impact, Model Mugging of Boston (a national self-defense program) for seven years, is certified by the National Women's Martial Arts Federation as a self-defense instructor, served on the Board of Directors of the NWMAF, has earned a black belt in Kali, and in 1998 was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
Tracey Green, M.Ac, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs
Tracey Green received her Master's degree in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture. There she studied TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Kiiko Style Japanese Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She opened her practice at 70 Atalntic Avenue in October of 1999 and has been working steadily since then at this location. Acupuncture is being used to treat many medical conditions as well as preventing illness. Tracey specializes in fertility Acupuncture and feels it is a privilege to bring these healing arts to this community and to be engaged in the therapeutic relationship with her patients.
