Monique R. Illona is a Nationally Certified and Licensed practitioner of therapeutic massage since 1991 and is an approved Blue Cross/Blue Shield provider. She is a former board director and Regional Coordinator of the National Women's Martial Arts Federation and is certified by the NWMAF as a self defense instructor. Ms. Illona served in the Israeli Defense Forces, has earned a black belt in Kali and Induction into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame. She was senior instructor for Impact, Model Mugging, a national self-defense program. She has an M.A. in Expressive Therapies and worked as a therapist in hospitals, day treatment programs and private practice. Having studied a number of bodywork arts, Monique opened her private practice in 1991 where she practices an integrated system of Bodywork with Massage and Polarity as the foundation.
